Tuesday Thoughts

I found this article from The Onion to be quite funny but it also made me think a little bit. Do people show a completely different personality online either throug a blog, chatroom etc? Or is it more that a different facet of one's personality comes through. I think that the online environment provides the opportunity for people to actually display their "true" personality (whatever that is) without worry of being prejudged. I suspect that we as a society are so prejudiced by appearances and make so many quick judgements based on appearances that we are unable to actually see the individuals 'real' personality. So this Onion article in jest makes an interesting commentary even if it was unintentional. One of many things that makes it a great website!
